Just here to say hello!

I had forgotten how much I hate blogger's habit of throwing extra lines into your text when you upload images. Like the more you upload, the more you get to delete those extra lines... And for some reason editing is almost useless? I mean you highlight a word, and try to center align it, but the entire post moves to the center. You try to make your font smaller, but it doesn't work out until you've tried at least three times. And once you finally publish your post, you get even more extra lines that won't go away without a fight.
We'll see how eagerly I'll be posting pictures next time, because now everything seems to work the way it should. If I could just figure out how to edit html and fix all the extra shit directly, I'd save so much more time...
The grand re-opening
I'm not quite sure but I think I only made one card and one birthday gift back in the winter season. Remember the sneak peak I gave you guys back in September? Well sure you do, it's right below this post. Anyhow, I told you my mum "specifically requested that I'd make the stitching for her birthday" - tomorrow's her birthday. I was able to finish the work after I got back home from my travels, but framing was something that I didn't do until today. Well actually, I'm going to let the professionals take care of the framing, I just stretched the fabric over a framework I had at home.
So without further due, here's the pretty little thing!
All the pictures are a wee bit darker than I'd want them to be, I kinda ran out of sunlight (and you know how I feel about yellow light...) but it's alright! IT'S FINISHED. And it took only like what, a year? :D Thank goodness the actual stitching part didn't take that long.
The framework
Grass was designed beautifully in this stitch work. I just really like the subtle way it changes colour!
The white dots and hearts on the flower pots were made out of white satin thread, it looks really nice in reality.
Working with satin threads was fun, and I really like the outcome, they just aren't the easiest threads to use and I'm actually glad there weren't too many areas that needed them. They kind of tend to fall apart, you know?
Well anyhow, hope you enjoyed the pictures! I'll show you one more picture once the professionals have created frames for this.
